BeyondTrust Remote Support (RS) and Privileged Remote Access (PRA) OS Command Injection Vulnerability
BeyondTrust Remote Support (RS) and Privileged Remote Access (PRA)contain an OS command injection vulnerability. Successful exploitation could allow an unauthenticated remote attacker to execute operating system commands in the context of the site user. Successful exploitation requires no authentication or user interaction and may lead to system compromise, including unauthorized access, data exfiltration, and service disruption.
A remote attacker, without authentication, can achieve full data confidentiality loss, arbitrary modification of data, complete denial of service or system unavailability. CISA has confirmed use of this vulnerability in known ransomware campaigns — treat as high priority for remediation. Federal agencies are required to remediate by 2026-02-16 under CISA BOD 22-01.
This is a OS Command Injection (CWE-78) vulnerability in BeyondTrust Remote Support (RS) and Privileged Remote Access (PRA). BeyondTrust Remote Support (RS) and certain older versions of Privileged Remote Access (PRA) contain a critical pre-authentication remote code execution vulnerability. By sending specially crafted requests, an unauthenticated remote attacker may be able to execute operating system commands in the context of the site user. Exploitation requires remote network access, low attack complexity, no authentication required, and no user interaction required.
