CrushFTP VFS Sandbox Escape Vulnerability
CrushFTP contains an unspecified sandbox escape vulnerability that allows a remote attacker to escape the CrushFTP virtual file system (VFS).
A remote attacker, without authentication, can achieve full data confidentiality loss, arbitrary modification of data, complete denial of service or system unavailability. Federal agencies are required to remediate by 2024-05-01 under CISA BOD 22-01.
This is a Software Vulnerability (CWE-1336) (CWE-1336) vulnerability in CrushFTP CrushFTP. A server side template injection vulnerability in CrushFTP in all versions before 10.7.1 and 11.1.0 on all platforms allows unauthenticated remote attackers to read files from the filesystem outside of the VFS Sandbox, bypass authentication to gain administrative access, and perform remote code execution on the server. Exploitation requires remote network access, low attack complexity, no authentication required, and no user interaction required.
