Google Chromium Information Disclosure Vulnerability
Google Chromium contains an information disclosure vulnerability within the core memory component that allows a remote attacker to obtain potentially sensitive information from process memory via a crafted HTML page. This vulnerability could affect multiple web browsers that utilize Chromium, including, but not limited to, Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, and Opera.
A remote attacker, without authentication, can achieve full data confidentiality loss. Federal agencies are required to remediate by 2021-11-17 under CISA BOD 22-01.
This is a Missing Authorization (CWE-862) vulnerability in Google Chromium. Inappropriate implementation in Memory in Google Chrome prior to 94.0.4606.71 allowed a remote attacker to obtain potentially sensitive information from process memory via a crafted HTML page. Exploitation requires remote network access, low attack complexity, no authentication required, and user interaction required.
