Google Chromium Out of Bounds Memory Access Vulnerability
Google Chromium contains an out of bounds memory access vulnerability in ANGLE that could allow a remote attacker to perform out of bounds memory access via a crafted HTML page. This vulnerability could affect multiple web browsers that utilize Chromium, including, but not limited to, Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, and Opera.
A remote attacker, without authentication, can achieve full data confidentiality loss, arbitrary modification of data, complete denial of service or system unavailability. Federal agencies are required to remediate by 2026-01-02 under CISA BOD 22-01.
This is a Out-of-bounds Write (CWE-787) vulnerability in Google Chromium. Out of bounds memory access in ANGLE in Google Chrome on Mac prior to 143.0.7499.110 allowed a remote attacker to perform out of bounds memory access via a crafted HTML page. (Chromium security severity: High) Exploitation requires remote network access, low attack complexity, no authentication required, and user interaction required.
