Google Chromium V8 Type Confusion Vulnerability
Google Chromium V8 contains a type confusion vulnerability that allows a remote attacker to execute code via a crafted HTML page.
A remote attacker, without authentication, can achieve full data confidentiality loss, arbitrary modification of data, complete denial of service or system unavailability. Federal agencies are required to remediate by 2024-06-10 under CISA BOD 22-01.
This is a Type Confusion (CWE-843) vulnerability in Google Chromium V8. Type Confusion in V8 in Google Chrome prior to 125.0.6422.60 allowed a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code inside a sandbox via a crafted HTML page. (Chromium security severity: High) Exploitation requires remote network access, low attack complexity, no authentication required, and user interaction required.
