A code execution vulnerability exists in the Stapler web framework used by Jenkins
A remote attacker, without authentication, can achieve full data confidentiality loss, arbitrary modification of data, complete denial of service or system unavailability. Federal agencies are required to remediate by 2022-08-10 under CISA BOD 22-01.
This is a Deserialization of Untrusted Data (CWE-502) vulnerability in Jenkins Jenkins Stapler Web Framework. A code execution vulnerability exists in the Stapler web framework used by Jenkins 2.153 and earlier, LTS 2.138.3 and earlier in stapler/core/src/main/java/org/kohsuke/stapler/MetaClass.java that allows attackers to invoke some methods on Java objects by accessing crafted URLs that were not intended to be invoked this way. Exploitation requires remote network access, low attack complexity, no authentication required, and no user interaction required.
