MDaemon Email Server Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) Vulnerability
MDaemon Email Server contains a cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability that allows a remote attacker to load arbitrary JavaScript code via an HTML e-mail message.
A remote attacker, without authentication, can achieve partial data exposure, partial data tampering. Federal agencies are required to remediate by 2025-06-09 under CISA BOD 22-01.
This is a Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) (CWE-79) vulnerability in MDaemon Email Server. An XSS issue was discovered in MDaemon Email Server before version 24.5.1c. An attacker can send an HTML e-mail message with JavaScript in an img tag. This could allow a remote attacker to load arbitrary JavaScript code in the context of a webmail user's browser window. Exploitation requires remote network access, low attack complexity, no authentication required, and user interaction required.
