MikroTik Router OS Directory Traversal Vulnerability
MikroTik RouterOS through 6.42 allows unauthenticated remote attackers to read arbitrary files and remote authenticated attackers to write arbitrary files due to a directory traversal vulnerability in the WinBox interface.
A remote attacker, without authentication, can achieve full data confidentiality loss, arbitrary modification of data. Federal agencies are required to remediate by 2022-06-01 under CISA BOD 22-01.
This is a Path Traversal (CWE-22) vulnerability in MikroTik RouterOS. Exploitation requires remote network access, low attack complexity, no authentication required, and no user interaction required.
