Mitel MiVoice Connect Data Validation Vulnerability
The Service Appliance component in Mitel MiVoice Connect allows remote code execution due to incorrect data validation.
A remote attacker, without authentication, can achieve full data confidentiality loss, arbitrary modification of data, complete denial of service or system unavailability. CISA has confirmed use of this vulnerability in known ransomware campaigns — treat as high priority for remediation. Federal agencies are required to remediate by 2022-07-18 under CISA BOD 22-01.
This is a Improper Input Validation (CWE-20) vulnerability in Mitel MiVoice Connect. The Service Appliance component in Mitel MiVoice Connect through 19.2 SP3 allows remote code execution because of incorrect data validation. The Service Appliances are SA 100, SA 400, and Virtual SA. Exploitation requires remote network access, low attack complexity, no authentication required, and no user interaction required.
