Roundcube Webmail Remote Code Execution Vulnerability
Roundcube Webmail contains an remote code execution vulnerability that allows attackers to execute code via shell metacharacters in a configuration setting for im_convert_path or im_identify_path.
A remote attacker, without authentication, can achieve full data confidentiality loss, arbitrary modification of data, complete denial of service or system unavailability. Federal agencies are required to remediate by 2023-07-13 under CISA BOD 22-01.
This is a OS Command Injection (CWE-78) vulnerability in Roundcube Roundcube Webmail. rcube_image.php in Roundcube Webmail before 1.4.4 allows attackers to execute arbitrary code via shell metacharacters in a configuration setting for im_convert_path or im_identify_path. Exploitation requires remote network access, low attack complexity, no authentication required, and no user interaction required.
