SysAid On-Prem Improper Restriction of XML External Entity Reference Vulnerability
SysAid On-Prem contains an improper restriction of XML external entity reference vulnerability in the Checkin processing functionality, allowing for administrator account takeover and file read primitives.
A remote attacker, without authentication, can achieve full data confidentiality loss, partial service disruption. Federal agencies are required to remediate by 2025-08-12 under CISA BOD 22-01.
This is a XML External Entity (XXE) Injection (CWE-611) vulnerability in SysAid SysAid On-Prem. SysAid On-Prem versions <= 23.3.40 are vulnerable to an unauthenticated XML External Entity (XXE) vulnerability in the Checkin processing functionality, allowing for administrator account takeover and file read primitives. Exploitation requires remote network access, low attack complexity, no authentication required, and no user interaction required.
