Zyxel Multiple Firewalls Path Traversal Vulnerability (CVE-2024-11667)
Multiple Zyxel firewalls contain a path traversal vulnerability in the web management interface that could allow an attacker to download or upload files via a crafted URL.
A remote attacker, without authentication, can achieve full data confidentiality loss. CISA has confirmed use of this vulnerability in known ransomware campaigns — treat as high priority for remediation. Federal agencies are required to remediate by 2024-12-24 under CISA BOD 22-01.
This is a Path Traversal (CWE-22) vulnerability in Zyxel Multiple Firewalls. A directory traversal vulnerability in the web management interface of Zyxel ATP series firmware versions V5.00 through V5.38, USG FLEX series firmware versions V5.00 through V5.38, USG FLEX 50(W) series firmware versions V5.10 through V5.38, and USG20(W)-VPN series firmware versions V5.10 through V5.38 could allow an attacker to download or upload files via a crafted URL. Exploitation requires remote network access, low attack complexity, no authentication required, and no user interaction required.
